視譯練習(xí)是進(jìn)行口譯訓(xùn)練不可或缺的步驟，視譯練習(xí)該如何開(kāi)展呢?不放參考以下幾點(diǎn)原則。

　　一、斷句

　　所謂斷句是指將英語(yǔ)或漢語(yǔ)句子按照適當(dāng)?shù)囊馊夯蚋拍顔挝?，進(jìn)行切割處理并譯成漢語(yǔ)或英語(yǔ)。例如：

　　1.I come to China /at an important time.

　　譯：我來(lái)到國(guó)內(nèi)訪問(wèn)，正逢一個(gè)重要的時(shí)刻。

　　2.They built the bridge /in two months.

　　譯：他們建這座橋，只花了兩個(gè)月。

　　二、等待

　　等待是指在視中有意識(shí)地等一下，等到上下文比較清除時(shí)再開(kāi)口翻譯。

　　1.They are trying hard to realize theobjective of modernization /and democratization.

　　譯：他們正在努力實(shí)現(xiàn)(等一下)現(xiàn)代化和民主化的目標(biāo)。

　　2.There remains a sizable gap betweenaspiration/ and accomplishment.

　　譯：愿望與成果之間仍有相當(dāng)大的差距。

　　三、轉(zhuǎn)換

　　轉(zhuǎn)換指詞類變換。英語(yǔ)中非動(dòng)詞可以轉(zhuǎn)換成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞，如英語(yǔ)名詞、介詞、形容詞和副詞等都可以轉(zhuǎn)換成漢語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞。

　　1.Every state is the best judge of what isrequired to safeguard its national security.

　　譯：每個(gè)國(guó)家自己才能**好地判斷需要什么來(lái)保衛(wèi)自己的國(guó)家安全。

　　2.The chairman of the working group has givena report on the work of the group.

　　譯：工作組主席匯報(bào)了改組的工作。

　　3.感謝你為我們所作的如此精心的安排。

　　譯：Thank you for your thoughtful arrangements.

　　四、重復(fù)

　　重復(fù)也是視譯中常用的技巧。重復(fù)可以出于各種目的，如語(yǔ)法、修辭、突出重點(diǎn)等。

　　1.I hope the meeting will not be too long ,forit will only waste time.

　　譯：我希望這次會(huì)議不要開(kāi)得太久，太久(這)會(huì)浪費(fèi)時(shí)間。

　　2.He left for London as soon as he receivedthe instruction from his boss.

　　譯：他啟程去了倫敦。收到老板的指示之后他就動(dòng)身了。

　　五、增補(bǔ)

　　中文重意合，英文重形合，這一特點(diǎn)意味著中譯英時(shí)，需做許多增補(bǔ)。如，“他不干我干，”譯成中文時(shí)，就要判斷出上下文所確定的準(zhǔn)確含義，并增加相應(yīng)的連接詞，即假設(shè)關(guān)系：“(如果)他不干，我干”;因果關(guān)系：“(因?yàn)?他不干，我干”。還有其它種種關(guān)系。英譯中增補(bǔ)也是必不可少的方法。

　　1.Implementation of international human rightsstandards must be pursued with vigor.

　　譯：貫徹**人權(quán)標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的工作必須大力進(jìn)行。

　　2.United Nations system organizations differin terms of mandates, structure and professional capacity.

　　譯：聯(lián)合國(guó)系統(tǒng)組織各有差異，在職權(quán)、結(jié)構(gòu)、和業(yè)務(wù)方面都是如此。

　　3.Primary attention should be given to scienceand technology for development.

　　六、省略

　　原話中有些短語(yǔ)或詞匯，在譯語(yǔ)中不必翻譯出來(lái)。

　　1.The country has increased its overallstrength.

　　譯：該國(guó)綜合國(guó)力大增。

　　2.Will all those who are in favor of thisdraft resolution, please raise your hands ?

　　譯：贊成的請(qǐng)舉手。

　　七、反說(shuō)

　　1.I couldn’t agree with you more.

　　譯：我完全同意你的意見(jiàn)。

　　2.We shall decide on procedural matters beforewe start a general debate.

　　譯：我們將決定程序問(wèn)題，然后再開(kāi)始一般性辯論。

　　3.No nation can live in peace without thesesprinciples.
